Photography has been an artistic outlet for me throughout my career in science and what I have learned in medicine has naturally weaved its way into my photography—the ability to focus on detail, to use empathy to connect with others, to find the beauty in times of joy and pain, and to listen to the stories inside others’ hearts.

My work is focused on black and white photography where light and emotion are the primary players. I love the unscripted moments, the frozen frame in the blur of time. I love capturing the energy of sports, the rhythm of the streets, the entrepreneur’s dream coming to life, both the vastness and the intricacy of nature, the raw and honest presence of portraits. Each image is a story and a reflection of how I see the world.
